The Student Empowerment Coalition: united for fairness and peace
We are an organizing coalition bringing together students from across the U.S. and around the world to work unitedly on issues affecting student communities. Founded in 2010 by a group of New York University students, our primary campaign is Tuition for Peace. We hope to garner the constituent support for a program that will pay for college in exchange for community service, much like the educational benefits that the military provides. This would both make a college education accessible for many more students and also foster a community that strongly values civic engagement.
Anyone can be part of this coalition. The easiest way to show your support is by joining our facebook group and encouraging your friends to do the same.
